The requirements for renewing Certificates of Competence issued by IRAANZ are currently under review. The focus of the review is particularly on what verification of current competence the applicant needs to include when applying to renew their Certificate of Competence.
The Certificate remains current for a period of three years and the industry is keen to ensure that over a three year period the applicant has indeed been active on a rope, to ensure their skills have been maintained and actively used in the working environment.
The criteria for obtaining a first/initial CoC card is not changing.
