Best practice guidelines for the industrial rope access industry have now been published by the Department of Labour.
The guidelines are available on their website: Industrial Rope Access in New Zealand: Best Practice Guidelines.
The guidelines have been designed to provide best practice advice for safe rope access techniques, the design installation and certification of permanent anchors and anchor systems, and the selection and maintenance of rope access equipment.
They apply to all employers, employees and the self-employed engaging in rope access work, as well as to people who contract or commission rope access work.
The guidelines were prepared by IRAANZ and are endorsed by the Department of Labour.
